Hi guys, here my wife is showing us how to properly clean a cast iron pan. We are using a well seasoned pan. Tools include spoon, some oil, salt, paper towel, and some scraping. Now,lets being with the cleaning!!

Ok, some oils you can use would be grape seed oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil or lard are a few examples that we use. Some things to note, once your pan is really seasoned you will never need to wash with soap ever again. You want to clean the iron pan without removing the seasoning. This type of cleaning is not destroying the seasoning but building the seasoning. You want to add layers to the seasoning.

A Cast-iron pan will last a whole lifetime with proper care. It can be used on stove, in the oven, and campfire. The whole process of seasoning of the pan is essential. When done proper you don’t need to use water and soap ever again unless there is rust build up for whatever reason.
